Pleural Mesothelioma and Peritoneal mesothelioma are similar to other conditions. If you
have worked with asbestos and you have these symptoms you need to see your doctor quickly.
If you have worked with asbestos then you need to let your doctors know so that they
understand you have a higher risk factor.
Pleural Mesothelioma Symptoms
Pleural Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that effects the lining of the lungs or chest
cavity. Pleural Mesothelioma is often missed diagnosed because the symptoms are similar to
pneumonia or pleurisy Pleural Mesothelioma can include all or some of the symptoms below.
- Cough
- Difficulty sleeping
- Fever
- Pain at the side of the chest or the lower back
- Pleural effusions (fluid in the chest cavity)
- Progressive loss of appetite and weight loss
- Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
- Tiredness
- Trouble swallowing
Peritoneal Mesothelioma Symptoms
Peritoneal Mesothelioma is a cancer that effects the lining of the abdominal cavity.
Peritoneal Mesothelioma can include all or some of the symptoms below.
- Belly Pain
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Weight loss
- Swelling in the Abdominal area due to build up of fluid
